Ronn Guidi's "The Secret Garden"

OAKLAND, Calif. (February 11, 2008) – The Oakland Ballet will perform The Secret Garden on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the historic Paramount Theatre in downtown Oakland. Based on the Frances Hodgson Burnett children’s classic, the story tells the tale of a neglected garden that slowly stirs to life under the careful stewardship of three children. Choreographed by Ronn Guidi in 1996, the full length ballet comes to life again for two performances with Michael Morgan conducting members of the Oakland East Bay Symphony.

Ronn Guidi's 35th Anniversary Nutcracker

OAKLAND, Calif. (October 31, 2007) — Celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Ronn Guidi’s Nutcracker, December 21-24, 2007, at the Paramount Theatre with Michael Morgan conducting members of the Oakland East Bay Symphony. Chevron, lead sponsor, is also donating 4,000 tickets this season to ensure that underserved families are able to attend the performances.

OAKLAND, Calif. (July 28, 2007) – Ronn Guidi, Founding Artistic Director of the Oakland Ballet for 35 years, announced the return of the Oakland Ballet Company. The company will be under the direction of Guidi, who will be the Artistic Director.
